Registration in the Consulate
The registration of a child as the citizen of the Republic of Kazakhstan who permanently resides abroad is made in the nearest Embassy and/or Consulate of Kazakhstan. The employee of a consulate institution puts the special mark in a child's passport. For the registration of adopted children which are the citizens of Kazakhstan in the Consulate section of the Embassy, adoptive parents need to submit the following papers:
1. Petition asking to put a child on the consulate registry;
2. Filled out form (enclosed);
3. The copy of a certificate for adoption;
4. The copy of a birth certificate;
5. The copy of a court decree of Kazakhstan;
6. One picture of the passport size;
7. The original of a passport of Kazakhstan;
8. Consulate fee of 70 US dollars in the form of money order made on the name of the Embassy of Kazakhstan;
9. Paid up envelope with a returning address, Express Mail and Priority Mail are preferred (The envelops of FedEx, UPS, DHL which are paid from a credit card are not accepted.)
