Ambassador Kairat Umarov Presents Credentials to President Barack Obama
On January 14, Kazakhstan’s Ambassador to the United States, Kairat Umarov , presented his credentials to President Barack Obama. During the White House meeting, they emphasized the dynamic relationship between the two countries in a variety of key areas.
President Obama called Kazakhstan "an important strategic partner for the United States." He also conveyed his best wishes to Kazakh President Nursultan Nazarbayev and expressed his willingness to continue working with him to strengthen global and regional security.
Ambassador Umarov extended heartfelt congratulations to President Obama from President Nazarbayev on his upcoming inauguration. He also conveyed the Kazakh leader's invitation to Mr. Obama to visit Kazakhstan.
