Director Anvar Kulmagambetov’s Welcome Message

It is my pleasure to welcome you to the webpage of the Bolashak Representative Office at the Embassy of Kazakhstan in DC. Our mission is to represent the Center for International Programs at the Ministry of Education and Science of Kazakhstan (CIP) and to promote the longstanding partnership between CIP and the US universities and research centers.

The CIP was established in 2005 to administer the Bolashak program instituted by President Nursultan Nazarbayev. The goal of the Bolashak program is to provide full support for the students from Kazakhstan to study in the best universities all around the world. Currently, we have over 3,000 Bolashak students and about 800 of them are studying in 42 US universities.

Recently the focus of our program has shifted to supporting students only for Master and PhD programs, as well as for scientific trainings. Kazakhstan will continue to support young talents seeking bachelor degree, but starting from 2011 they will be taught at Nazarbayev University in cooperation with world-known universities.

We believe that the office opening will benefit Bolashak students studying in US. Our Office will be glad to help Bolashak fellows not only in their accommodation and adaptation process in the US, but also in their readaptation process back in the Kazakhstan.

Click the links of this page and you will find useful information on the Bolashak program and the Representative office. You will also find news and announcements of upcoming events. I encourage you to explore these resources and to learn more about Bolashak program and its interests in US educational market.

Should you have any questions, please do not hesitate to let us know. We look forward to hearing from you!
